Tendon and Bone Cellular Therapies

  • Pilot study in the use of autologous tenocyte implantation (ATI) in the treatment of gluteus medius and minimus tendinopathy.

  • Phase 1 trial in the use of allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of refractory Achilles tendinopathy [ACTRN12610000985088].
    This is a world first trial and is being undertaken at the Mater Medical Research Institute, Brisbane.

  • Proposed: Phase 1 trial in the use of allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of critical bone defects.
