Dr Richard Brown Sports PhysicianDr Richard Brown - Sports Physician
Richard is a Sports Physician specialising in sports, musculoskeletal and exercise medicine.  He graduated from medicine at the University of NSW in 1996 and following further study became a fully qualified GP in 2001. In 2005 he completed his fellowship with the Australasian College of Sports Physicians.

Richard is trained in the management of all sporting injuries with a personal interest in the football codes (Soccer, AFL, Union and League), basketball, swimming and track and field. He has completed research in Aprotinin for the management of tendon injuries.  This is one of Richard's interest fields.  He currently consults to the Australian Wallabies, Queensland Firebirds and QAS Track and Field.
Dr Mark Young Sports DoctorDr Mark Young - Sports Physician
Mark qualified in London in 1984. He spent many years in rural general practice in Alice Springs before undertaking his specialist fellowship training for the Australasian College of Sports Physicians at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra. He is currently the Medical Director of 3 National squads (Triathlon, Diving and Softball) as well as one of the appointed Queensland doctors to the Australian Track and Field team.

Mark is interested in the rehabilitation of shoulder, hip and back injuries and has a special interest in tendon pathology.
Mark also has a special interest in Cellular Biotherapies.

Mark is a co-medical director of Qsportsmedicine.
Dr Daelyn Vivers Sports DoctorDr Daelyn Vivers - Sports Physician
Dr Daelyn Vivers (nee Cullen) has recently joined Qsportsmedicine from Perth. She has had over 10 year’s involvement with community and elite Rugby Union in Perth, and was assistant doctor to the Western Force for 2010. She was the Match Doctor and medical coordinator (WA) during the Rugby World Cup in 2003. Between 2001 and 2005, Daelyn travelled overseas with the Hockeyroos and Australian Hockey development squads.

Daelyn has also been involved in many other sports such as running, triathlon, motorcross, basketball, swimming, tennis and kite surfing. Currently she is the Doctor to the QAS Swimming Programme.
Daelyn gained her ACSP Specialist qualification in 2007 and has been the State Training Coordinator for Sports and Exercise Medicine in Perth since then. Before that she was the Medical and Education Director for Sports Medicine Australia (SMA).

Daelyn specialises in managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries – such as patellofemoral and knee pain, shoulder impingement and bursitis, hip injuries, back and neck problems, and foot pain. She has worked closely with many athletes as diverse as runners and motorcross riders. As part of being Doctor to QAS swimming she will be assessing and managing exercise induced asthma in athletes.
Dr Thomas GanDr Thomas Gan - Sports Physician Senior Registrar
Dr Thomas Gan completed his undergraduate medical degree in 2004, graduating from the University of New South Wales.

Dr Gan received his induction into advanced training in the specialty field of Sport & Exercise Medicine in 2009 after successfully completing the Australasian College of Sports Physicians Part I examination in 2008.

He has worked as a team physician for various elite sporting teams and has also served as medical director for world class sporting events.

Dr Gan is involved in research in the field of sports medicine. He has attended various conferences and courses aimed at improving patient care and has delivered presentations at Sport & Exercise Medicine seminars and conferences.

Dr Gan’s professional interests include platelet rich plasma therapy, lower limb stress fractures, tennis injuries, cricket injuries and Acupuncture

Dr Pat WeinrauchDr Pat Weinrauch - Orthopaedics ~ Hip
Dr Patrick Weinrauch is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip injury and management. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1997.

Dr Weinrauch exclusively manages hip joint disorders in adults and adolescents. His practice includes hip joint arthroscopy, hip joint preservation surgery, hip resurfacing and hip replacement procedures. Dr Weinrauch's work is dedicated to the management of athletes, both amateur and professional, across all sports, who have hip disorders and who wish to maintain high activity levels in their sporting interests.
Dr Jeremy BartlettDr Jeremy Bartlett - Orthopaedics ~ Knee/Hip
Dr Jeremy Bartlett was educated in Brisbane and received his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1980. He completed his Orthopaedic training in 1989 and travelled to Ascot UK and Portland Oregon USA where he furthered his Orthopaedic Education. He is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the AMA. He has been in private practice in Brisbane since 1991.

His practice focuses on Sports Orthopaedics including knee reconstruction, knee arthroscopy and shoulder surgery. He is also an experienced joint arthroplasty surgeon specializing in both hip and knee replacement procedures. Dr Bartlett also has an interest in adolescent and children’s orthopaedics.

Dr Bartlett has also lectured for the University of Queensland’s School of Human Movement Studies, the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Paediatric Society of Queensland and the Australian Paedatric Orthopaedic Society as Instructional course lecturer.

Dr Bartlett is the Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Brisbane Roar Football Team and provides services to other sports teams and schools covering many sporting codes.
Dr David HayesDr David Hayes - Orthopaedics ~ Knee/Hip/Foot/Ankle
Dr David Hayes was educated in Brisbane and received his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1989. He completed his Orthopaedic training and was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1999. He then undertook fellowship training in Adelaide, South Australia and Southampton, United Kingdom. He was also awarded the AOSSM Asia Pacific Travelling Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2002.

Dr Hayes research interests are directed to knee surgery and hip arthroscopy. He regularly lectures nationally and internationally.

His practice focus is knee surgery, sports injury, joint replacement and arthroscopy including hip and knee arthroscopy.

Dr Ben ForsterDr Ben Forster - Orthopaedics ~ Foot/Ankle
Dr Ben Forster is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in Surgery of the Foot, Ankle and Knee with a focus on Sporting Injuries and Lower Limb Arthroplasty.

Dr Forster was educated in Brisbane and received his Medical Degree from the University of Queensland in 1991. He completed his orthopaedic training in 2000 and was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in that year. Fellowship Training was undertaken in Foot and Ankle surgery in Bristol, United Kingdom, Knee surgery in Southampton, United Kingdom, with further training in Lecco, Italy.

Dr Forster is an Associate Clinical Lecturer with the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Queensland. and a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Dr Glenn DaviesDr Glenn Davies - Orthopaedics ~ Knee/Shoulder
Dr Glenn Davies is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in Surgery of the Knee, Shoulder and Sports Injuries. Dr Davies is locally trained having received his Medical Degree from the University of Queensland in 1990.

After completing his orthopaedic training in Brisbane, further fellowship training was undertaken in knee and shoulder surgery in the United Kingdom. He followed this with an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Tennessee in the United States. Dr Davies has presented at International Meetings and he is a Member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Dr Davies' practice focuses on knee and shoulder surgery, with a special interest in arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, as well as ligament reconstruction and joint replacement arthroplasty. He is available for medicolegal consultations and is certified with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. Dr Davies is an Associate Clinical Lecturer with the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Queensland and has a public appointment at the Redcliffe Hospital.
Nathan Eadie PodiatristNathan Eadie - Podiatry
Nathan Eadie is the Director of Queensland Podiatry Services, recognised as Queensland's premier sports podiatry practice.

Nathan's experience in the sports podiatry field is vast and extensive. He cares for many elite sporting teams in Brisbane as well as junior athletes. Nathan has associations with both the Australian Institute of Sport and the Queensland Academy of Sport and he is currently the consulting podiatrist for the Brisbane Lions AFC, the Queensland Reds Rugby Union, Gold Coast Titans and the Queensland Firebirds.
Nicholas Sprenger PodiatristNicholas Sprenger - Podiatry
Nicholas covers all areas of Podiatry with a special interest in sport related injuries of the foot and ankle.

Nicholas was educated in Brisbane and received his Podiatric Degree from the Queensland University of Technology in 2008. He completed his clinical placement at QLD Foot Services, utilising their knowledge and experience to develop and refine his Podiatry skills.

Nicholas Sprenger has a background in elite swimming. He competed at two Olympic Games, so he understands the stresses of sport, and the demands that a placed on today’s professional athletes. He has lectured locally on various Podiatric topics, particularly footwear and how it can help both on the sporting field and everyday activities.
Lauren Nugent DietitianLauren Nugent - Nutrition and Dietetics
Lauren has been a dietitian for over 6 years, working in both clinical dietetics and sports nutrition. She started work in Private Practice and in Hospitals and Nursing Homes. She later took on work in a psychology practice to further her knowledge of the psychological impact of food and nutrition. Lauren joined Eat Smart Nutrition Consultants in 2005 to further her passion for sports nutrition and private practice.

Lauren consults on all general dietetic issues such as weight loss or gain, diabetes, cholesterol and lifestyle modification. She specializes in sports nutrition, gastrointestinal disorders and eating disorder patients.
Ross ChapmanRoss Chapman - Sports Psychology
Ross is a registered psychologist who has extensive experience working with amateur and professional athletes across a number of sports. Ross seeks to clarify the specific requirements of performance maximisation and provides support in enhancing the key mental skills that are critical for particular athletes. His background as a former professional player and coach allows Ross to fast-track the identification of the relevant issues that impact on performance, both on and off the playing field.

Ross works with elite teams, consults to business in the areas of leadership, team development and executive coaching and is available to consult with athletes at our QSports Medicine city clinic by appointment. As well as conducting individual athlete sessions, he has a significant long-term background in the facilitation of team and group sessions, depending upon the needs of our clients.

In working with teams, Ross assists and mentors coaches in effecting execution improvements in individual athletes as well as supporting them in developing motivation, communication, responses to pressure, preparation planning, team culture and other key aspects of coach interaction with individuals and teams. Ross is the Australian cricket team psychologist and has worked with the team in the areas of personal and performance psychology at the 2011 World Cup and on tours of England, South Africa, India and New Zealand, as well as throughout Australia.

Specialities: His broad experience allows Ross to apply his technical expertise to all sports including Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer, AFL, Baseball, Softball, Rowing, Netball, Tennis, Golf, Basketball, Swimming, Track & Field, Volleyball and Boxing.
